At Bauwerk Colour we ensure that we use either:
- packaging made from unbleached recycled cardboard without any plastic wrapping or plastic fillers or cushioning.
- paint pails with the highest post consumer recycled content available (currently between 30-50%)
- packaging that is easy to separate and recycle (ie. Aluminium lids and recyclable plastic container)
All packaging is fully recyclable.
Where we use printing ink we only use a single colour with the lowest possible environmental impact.
Our newest initiative is the Bag in a Box packaging for our 10 liter size for Prep Coat.
It will see a reduction in the need for warehouse storage, use of plastic in the actual container, longer shelve life of the product, lesser volume requirement for shipment and lesser card board box size for the protective shipping packaging.
