Paint a Ceiling

Bauwerk Limewash is applied to ceilings with a brush, using the same technique as used when painting a wall surface. Ceilings should be painted before you paint walls—start at a window and paint away from the light.

Tips

• A mobile scaffold will assist greatly when painting ceilings, available for hire in most countries and regions.
• Always ensure that the ceiling surface is primed and prepped correctly before applying the limewash. The guide to Limewashing ceilings are the same as for Limewashing walls. Refer to our Surface Preparation Guides for more detailed information on how to prepare your ceiling for limewash.
