Each Colour Card is hand-painted with genuine Bauwerk Limewash Paint on a specially selected paper. As limewash responds to the absorbency of the surface and surrounding light, Colour Cards are designed for comparing colour and undertone rather than replicating exactly how the paint will appear on your wall. For a final colour check, we recommend testing with a Sample Pot on your intended surface or a test panel.

Greens

Natural green limewash tones ranging from pale, softened shades to earthy olives, fresh botanical greens and deep woodland hues. The palette begins with light, muted colours such as Bamboo and Maidenhair, moving through warmer olive and khaki tones including Olive, Hawthorn and Moreton Bay Fig. Clearer greens such as Apple Mint, Peppermint and Spearmint bring brighter, fresher colour to the palette, before it moves through atmospheric blue-greens such as Laurel and Forest to deeper woodland shades including Nettle and Seaweed.

Colour Card Boxes are sent by tracked and fully insured express courier. Orders usually dispatch within two business days, with tracking provided once your delivery has been booked.

Yes. Individual A6 Colour Cards can be ordered separately, whether you'd like to add another Bauwerk colour to your collection, replace a well-used or misplaced card, or leave a card with a client.

Colour Card Boxes are available in A6 format only. If you'd like to experience a shortlisted colour at a larger scale, individual Large Format Colour Cards are available at A4 size.

Green limewash colours can shift noticeably as light changes throughout the day. Natural and artificial light can bring different undertones to the surface, causing a green to appear greyer, warmer, more yellow or more blue at different times.

Move your Colour Cards around the space and view them at different times of day before making your final selection.

Green sits between blue and yellow on the colour spectrum, so small differences in undertone can significantly change how a shade appears. Sage and grey-greens tend to feel softer and more muted, olive and khaki greens lean warmer and earthier, while blue-greens have a cooler character.

Surrounding materials and changing light can make these undertones more or less apparent, which is why comparing Colour Cards in your own space is particularly useful.

Green limewash works particularly well with natural materials and colours found alongside green in the landscape. Soft sage and grey-greens sit easily with warm whites, pale timber, linen and stone, while olive and khaki greens work well with warmer timber, terracotta, leather and aged metals. Cooler blue-greens can create contrast alongside stone, dark timber and deeper neutrals.
